Steady Energy and TVO Nuclear Services to collaborate on nuclear heating
Finland’s Steady Energy, a startup company spun out from the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in 2023, and Nuclear Services (TVONS), a consulting company wholly owned by Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) are to collaborate on the development of a nuclear heating plant.

Helen and Steady Energy aim to introduce nuclear heat production in Finland
Helen and Steady Energy have signed a letter of intent with the aim of enabling an investment in a small-scale nuclear power plant for heat production. Small-scale nuclear power is one of the most promising solutions for rapidly and cost-efficiently decreasing the emissions of both electricity and heat production.

Steady Energy raises 2 million euros to decarbonise residential heating with small modular nuclear reactors
The VTT spin-out will build a heating plant powered by a small nuclear reactor, designed to produce heat efficiently, safely and carbon-neutrally, at considerably lower temperature and pressure than traditional nuclear reactors.
